SAS ES Atoms Celebrate Family Traditions

Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School November Family Projects Focus on Traditions

Wednesday, November 30th, 2022: As part of our Culturally Responsive Teachings, throughout November, Syracuse Academy of Science elementary Atoms worked on a family project: Family Traditions. Every family has unique traditions held near and dear to their hearts. They are part of what makes each family special and unique. Families were encouraged to talk about beloved traditions within their homes. Following this conversation, we asked families to help their students draw and write out the four steps of a family tradition to share with our community. Family traditions ranged from holiday traditions, birthdays, family vacations, and the first day of school rituals. We loved getting a glimpse into our students' families and home lives. Stay tuned for December's family project!
