Friday, February 7th, 2025: National School Choice Week takes place every year during the last week in January. It is a week to celebrate that parents and families can choose where they send their children to school. Every day, we are so happy that our families chose us. This year, we've asked some of our families why they chose Syracuse Academy of Science for their child's education. Hear from Nova's family:
"We chose SAS because our daughter's family was already attending and had been for years with only positive remarks regarding both the staff and teachers. We wanted a structured school setting that challenged Nova as well as had opportunities for her to showcase her own strengths in after school activities and extracurriculars. We continue to be happy with this choice because every day we pick Nova up from school, she is joyful and has experiences with her peers to share with her family. It is obvious she is treated fairly and growing since her start this year and it has only been a few months."

Friday, February 7th, 2025: Continuing with School Choice Week, let's hear why Juliet's family chose to send her to Syracuse Academy of Science!
"Knowing that our child would receive an innovative, tailored & personalized learning experience was the top reason we chose SAS! We love that there is an enhanced focus on STEM, as well as other educational opportunities that allow our child to explore new interests and diversify their skill sets early on. All the educators within SAS are extremely responsive and ensure that we are provided with frequent updates on our child’s progress, demonstrating how invested they are in our child’s success!"

Friday, February 7th, 2025: For National School Choice Week, Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School asked some of our parents to tell us why they chose SAS and how they feel about that choice today. Here is what the Bloss family has to say:
"SAS was our top choice of school for our daughter, and we don’t regret it one bit! From the first day of kindergarten, it was clear that the teachers, administration, and entire staff really cared about their kids. They make it a point to know every single student, not just by name, but also to learn their personalities as well. The teachers meet the students where they are and really strive to help them strive for excellence."

Friday, February 7th, 2025: For National School Choice Week, we at Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School asked some of our parents to tell us why they chose SAS and how they feel about it today. Avianni is about to graduate from SAS Elementary and follow in her sister's footsteps. See what her mother has to say about SAS!
"I was actually referred to SAS by my aunt, who worked there. She thought it would be a great fit for my daughter. I wasn't too happy with the school she was at and how the curriculum was going. I applied in September, and she was accepted in October. I was nervous & hesitant. I couldn't believe they were doing spelling tests in Kindergarten. Her teacher reassured me she would catch on, and she did. My daughter is now in 10th at the high school. She is in honors classes and taking some college courses as well. I have another daughter who is at SAS Elementary in the 4th grade, and she adjusted and has excelled very well in each grade. She will be graduating this year and on to middle school. The classroom sizes are small enough for the kids to receive the help they need. And the teachers are attentive & helpful with making sure each student does well."
