The Syracuse Academy of Science Charter school is seeking a collaborative, dynamic, motivated, and inclusive school leader as School Director for the 7-12 grade builidng

Director: Operate as the educational leader and chief educational officer of the school while implementing policies set by the board of directors. Assume administrative responsibility for the planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of the education programs, services, and facilities of the charter contract, and for the annual evaluations of the school staff. Be knowledgeable about all aspects of the instructional program and analyze data to confirm continuous focus on improving student academic performance. Work with staff, board, parents, and community to plan curriculum. Compile reports and assist the board in evaluating the effectiveness of school programs. Consult with all financial accounting staff and ensure that approved budget is being managed in accordance with policy. Ensure that all state and federal requirements are met. This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or a STEM related field and at least three years of administrative experience in a charter school.
