“Fair is foul, and foul is fair” - Macbeth

To begin their Shakespeare unit, Syracuse Academy of Science 9th-grade students attended a modern-day performance of Macbeth at the Red House Theater.

Friday, March 25th, 2022Syracuse Academy of Science high school's 9th-grade students kicked off their Shakespeare unit by attending a modern-day performance of Macbeth at the Red House Arts Center.

This modern Macbeth performance follows a brave Scottish general who receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that he will become King one day. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the Scottish throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia.
