Students at SASCS can participate in a variety club and sport activities. SASCS teachers provide time after school and on weekends for students to take part in clubs. Clubs provide an outlet for students to participate in activities that interest them, as well as help build their college resumes. Clubs and Sport Activities at SASCS include:

VARSITY BOYS’ BASKETBALL
The Varsity Boys’ Atoms will return to the court in 2010-2011 as the defending champions in the Onondaga High School Level Patriot National League.
VARSITY GIRLS’ BASKETBALL 2010-2011 will be the first year of the SASCS Varsity Girls’ Basketball Team. This sport is for girls in grades 9 to 12.
JV BOYS’ BASKETBALL JV Basketball enters its fifth year at SASCS in 2010-2011.
CHEERLEADING SASCS cheerleaders keep the SASCS spirit alive at home games.
CROSS COUNTRY TRACK Students run cross country track in the fall.
TRACK & FIELD SASCS students participate in Track & Field in the spring. This year two SASCS students went to Regional’s.
WRESTLING A new boys’ Wrestling team will be established at SASCS in 2010-2011.
ANIME CLUB Students in Anime Club share and discuss anime films of their choosing with each other.
AKIDO CLUB Students learn and practice the martial art Akido.
ART CLUB Students create works in various mediums based on their own interests. Students are also given an opportunity to show work in galleries within the community.

BAND
Students in the band have an opportunity to create popular music, while learning vocal techniques or to play guitar, drums, bass and keyboards. The band performs inside and outside of school. This year, the SASCS Band performed at the Taste of Syracuse. |

DRAMA CLUBThe SASCS
Drama Club is an organization that is made up of those interested in the theatrical arts. Members perform a full-length play and engage in all the aspects of a production, including acting, construction of sets, costuming and technical crew.

Students in Game Club are able to play a variety of games, from chess and checkers to popular game-console games. |

Student writers and photographers for the SASCS Atomic Times have the chance to cover stories important to our school and to teens. |

Yearbook Club members take pictures, gather information, write news stories and layout the SASCS yearbook.
