Syracuse Academy of Science Charter School

Celebrating Achievements and successes during the 2009-2010 academic year, sixty seven students and their parents were honored with a catered dinner at the second annual Dean’s Dinner held at La Casa Grande Restaurant.  Acknowledged were 39 honor students who maintained a 3.5 GPA during the academic year, the Central New York first place MathCounts team, the Section 3 Patriot League Varsity Basketball champions, and the members of the Science Olympiad team. Also acknowledged were, Kenneth Magwood, bronze medal winner at the I-SWEEP, winners of the Greater Syracuse Scholastic Science Competition, and DaShawn Ellick whose singing talent at the Turkish Olympiad earned him a second place award.  SASCS Director, Tolga Hayali recognized SASCS teachers and administrators whose coaching efforts and guidance contributed to SAS student success.
