Monday, October 30th, 2023: Each month at Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary, students are encouraged to complete a Family Project that gives us a look into their origins. Where we come from is an essential part of every one of us! For October, the first family project was for students to create a magazine cover about themselves and their families, showcasing what makes them unique!
Some truly amazing magazine covers were brought in!
Thursday, October 19, 2023: The 6th-grade team grabbed their lunches and jackets, hopped on a bus, and headed to the Museum of Science and Technology. Students enjoyed exploring exhibits about space, the human body, Dinosaurs, and the Earth. They even had a new area dedicated to the advanced Micron plant opening in New York soon!
We promised something special for the spooky season, and we are delivering. Coming to you straight from Nevermore Academy… I mean SANY… we present “The Atoms Family.” Don't miss out on this highly unique take on a classic where cartoon-like gothic macabre meets a twist of contemporary humor. So do us all a favor, grab your friends and neighbors, no don’t you wait ‘till later…. Here’s the Atoms Family! *Snap* *Snap*

Wednesday, October 25th, 2023: A week has passed since Otto the Orange surprised Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary and invited us to join his Reading Challenge! You “Otto” believe our Atoms are already doing an outstanding job! Walls are filled with footballs, indicating all the books our students and classrooms have read. We are even getting pictures sent in from students reading their books at home.
It's plain to see that SAS is super pumped to dominate this reading challenge!
Friday, October 20th, 2023: We’re continuing to pave the path to success for our Syracuse Academy of Science Atoms. A representative from Utica University visited campus to teach students about the college, the admissions process, and what majors and courses they offer.
College visits are a large part of the curriculum as a college preparatory school. Stay tuned for more visits from colleges!
