SASCS Celebrates National School Choice Week

Syracuse Academy of Science elementary school students wear Yellow for School Choice Day!

Monday, January 24th, 2022Last week, Syracuse Academy of Science Charter Schools celebrated and participated in National School Choice Week! Atoms participated in various activities and events throughout the week, such as learning the official National School Choice Week Dance, reading the morning announcements, and writing activities all about why they love SAS. On Tuesday, the Elementary School Atoms had an opportunity to wear Yellow for School Choice Day.

For those not familiar with National School Choice Week, it is the process of allowing every family to choose the K-12 educational options that best fit their children. Every child is unique, and all children learn differently.

Throughout the week, we not only celebrate the students but the parents, teachers, and staff alike. We encourage prospective students and families to learn all about what Syracuse Academy of Science Charter Schools offers! There are many reasons families, teachers, and staff choose SAS. Atoms place 16th & 17th in Robotics Competition

Syracuse Academy of Science middle school robotics team competes in 6-matches during their first-ever Robotics Competition.

Saturday, January 29th, 2022From New York to California (and possibly some states in between), the Syracuse Academy of Science middle school teams prepared for some tough teams in their first-ever Robotics Competition. Coached by Mr. Jan and Ms. Obrist, the Atoms were ready for whatever the competition may bring.

On Saturday, the Atoms competed in a six-match competition where participants demonstrated various tasks and challenges. With great pleasure, we share the Atoms took home 16th and 17th place. Congratulations, Atoms, and keep up the great work!
