Syracuse Academy of Science high school’s Robotics Team competed in the First Tech Challenge (FTC) Qualifying Tournament at Clarkson University.

Saturday, February 12th, 2022Early Saturday morning, the Syracuse Academy of Science high school Robotics Team attended the First Tech Challenge (FTC) Qualifying Tournament at Clarkson University. This tournament inspires students to learn like engineers. Participants must design, build and program their robots to solve challenging missions.

The FTC mission this year required robots to detect the scoring element, collect the cubes and balls, and deliver them to the shipping hub, as well as bring the ducks into the field. To compete, the Atoms prepared a robot that can collect and lift and drop the debris to the desired level of the shipping hub!
