Tuesday, January 17th, 2023: Syracuse Academy of Science is accepting new students for next school year! If you’re interested in enrolling your child, open houses will be taking place at the elementary school on Thursday, January 26th, from 4-5 PM, Saturday, February 4th, from 10-11:30 AM, Saturday, March 11th from 10-11:30 AM, and Thursday, March 23rd from 4-5 PM. Families are encouraged to arrive at the start time to view an informational presentation before joining us on a guided school tour. Students are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Please note this is only for families that are new to SAS. Families need only select one open house to attend. We hope to see you there!
Thursday, January 12th, 2023: It's time to shine the light on one of Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School's amazing teachers! Meet Ms. Alonso-Bergevin or Ms. AB to our Atoms! Ms. AB received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from SUNY Oswego. She loves spending time with her family and is most inspired by her students! Ms. AB is a dedicated art teacher who loves sharing her knowledge and skill set with all students. Thank you, Ms. AB, for being an integral part of our team!
Monday, January 9th, 2023: Did you know Meditation can help improve student behavior? Mediation has been shown to help with improved memory and concentration, increased confidence and self-esteem, and can even lead to higher grades and test scores. At Syracuse Academy of Science elementary school, one of our 4th-grade Atoms has been working with Social-Emotional Support Specialist Ms. Cahalan to practice some Meditation skills. Recently, that student has begun offering his services to one of our 3rd-grade classes.
Wednesday, December 21st, 2022: Syracuse Academy of Science Elementary School's third graders took a Caz Sports Bowl trip and learned about balance, forces, and motion. They had lots of fun and cheered their classmates on all morning. A big thank you to Caz Sports Bowl for hosting our Atoms!
Thursday, December 22nd, 2022: Syracuse Academy of Science Middle Schoolers enjoyed the annual 7th-grade ice skating field trip! It was a beautiful day in Clinton Square, with maybe just a couple of falls but lots of smiles and laughter! The perfect way to spend the last day before winter break!
